CENTER FOR SENIORS AND AFFLICTED PEOPLE

Task was to create a new object for humanitarian association in Roudnice nad Labem which takes care of handicap people and also runs a club for seniors with café. New building is trying to unite those various activities in one object for more effective working. Running of the senior club will be partly served by handicapped. It is experimental project which has viable potential.

Building is designed according to specific needs of seniors and handicapped and to  fulfil program of humanitarian association. Building is visually divided in two objects. First of them contains day room for handicapped and therapeutic sheltered workshop in the first floor and three temporary sheltered housing units in second floor. The other object has mainly functions for public with its café and community hall. Upstairs there is a nursing service for seniors, handicapped and also public such as small gym for rehabilitation exercises and room or rehabilitation massage. Important was also to focus on garden and all activities it should provide. (garden with Karolína Dvořáková)
