EXPOSITION OF MINED QUARRYS IN MIKULOV
In the past in Mikulov three hills were mined out. In this area were destroyed promenade alley with park and summer house, ice rink and swimming bath. Today area is in restoration and people visit this place very often. I created an object which access quarry for people and becomes a part of it. My inspiration was mining itself. The brutal intervention of human to the nature. The path in the quarry is created by tubes composed of modular structure and covered by perforated steel plates. Inside there is a metal stairs and exhibition of the mining. The last tube on the top of the rock is cantilevered above the quarry. There is a little coffee which is facing to the north to a wonderful landscape of Pálavské vrchy hills. This place is the only one from where you are able to see all of three quarries. This project should resemble the mining in the quarry, resume the cultural values of the place and make the quarry accessible for the people.
